- Conducts training courses for young physicians
in Cairo and elsewhere.
- Organization of scientific conferences at
the national and international levels to encourage scientific
research in the fields of hypertension and to circulate up to
date knowledge.
- Creation of working groups to formulate guidelines
for diagnosis and treatment of I hypertension and Cardiovascular
Diseases in Egypt.
- Preparation of printed material necessary
for educating and training physicians as to the correct way
of blood pressure measurement and treatment of hypertension.
- Preparation of pamphlets for patients including
facts and guidelines for hypertensives.
- Establishing “Young Investigator Awards”
to encourage research in the field of hypertension, as well
as sending the most promising physicians abroad for training
in specialized centers.
- Setting a policy for mass media communication
to increase public awareness on the national level.
- Preparation of a protocol for a National Multicenter
Study involving several Egyptian universities and institutes
investigating the efficacy and long term side effects of various
antihypertensive drugs and determining the most suitable for
Egyptian hypertensives.
- Publishing a periodical Newsletter on hypertension
which includes recent discoveries in the field as well as all
current activities of the Egyptian Hypertension Society.
